This Privacy Policy describes how we, the U.S. Pregnancy After Loss Network (“USPAL Network”), handle information that we collect about individuals who visit our website, USPAL Network Clinics (the “Site”) or who otherwise interact with us online. Please read this Policy carefully to be sure you are comfortable with it before using the Site, as your use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of the Policy’s terms.
We may update this Policy at any time. Any changes to the Policy will become effective upon the date of our posting of the revised Policy on the Site. If we make any changes to the Policy that would materially affect your rights, we will post a notice on Site stating that the Policy has been revised. If you visit the Site following the effective date of the revised Policy, you will be deemed to have read and understood the Policy’s updated terms.
What Information Do We Collect?
Information You Provide
You may explore the Site without providing any personal information. However, the Site offers you the opportunity to ask us questions or otherwise communicate with us by providing your email address as well as your name and your status as a patient, health care provider, or other person interested in our mission and the resources we provide.
The Site also includes a section for USPAL Network members only, which is accessible to such members’ representatives after they create login credentials (a username/email address and a password). We also invite donations through the Site, and to make a donation, you will need to provide your payment information (such as your credit card number). Although such payment information is collected through the Site, it is processed securely by our payment processor and we do not retain it. Other than such payment information and your status as a patient, we do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal information (such as information about your religion or ethnicity).
Information From Cookies
The Site also automatically collects information about you that relates to your use of the Site. This information is automatically collected through browser navigational tools, such as cookies, which can recognize your visits to the Site by identification of the computer or device that you are using to access the Site. In addition to the essential cookies necessary for the Site to operate, we use functional and analytics cookies to improve your experience using the Site, such as by making the Site easier to navigate by both you and others. We also use Google Analytics, which works through cookies, to collect data on your and other Site users’ interactions with the website by tracking page views, user behavior, user visit duration, and user locations. The data helps us in optimizing the Site’s performance and understanding user engagement. With Whom Do We Share Personal Information We Collect?
Service Providers
To the extent necessary to conduct the activities that further our mission, we share personal information that we collect with trusted third parties who provide us with support, such as our payment processor for donations, our information technology vendors, and legal advisors.

As noted above, we may share information collected through cookies with Google Analytics to track and analyze the use of the Site. Entities Entitled Under Law
We may disclose your personal information as we believe to be appropriate in the following circumstances: (i) when required by applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (ii) to comply with legal process (iii) to respond to requests from public and government authorities; (iv) to enforce the Terms of Use for the Site; (v) to protect and defend our rights and property; (vi) to protect the interests of USPAL Network or others; and (vii) to permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain. We have no obligation to notify you of such disclosures, except as required by applicable law.
We do not sell any personal information and we do not share any personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How Do We Maintain and Protect Personal Information?
Security
We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. However, no data storage system and no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please do not send us information you consider confidential via e-mail.
Data Retention
We will retain the personal information we collect about you for as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, including to protect our respective rights and to provide you with the resources or support you may request.
Rights You May Have Regarding Your Personal Information
Depending on the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, you may have one or more of the following rights with respect to some or all of your personal information:

- To request that we update or otherwise correct your personal information;
- To request that we delete your personal information;

Please state your request clearly. We may need to verify your identity prior to granting your request in order to prevent any unintended disclosure of your personal information to another person purporting to be you or any deletion of your personal information at the request of such other person. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights to which you are entitled.
Please be aware that we are not obligated to grant all requests that you may make, depending on applicable law. For example, we may deny a request for deletion of personal information if we have a legal basis for retaining that information. If your request is denied, you may appeal that decision by sending us a message through the Site “Contact Us” page, stating clearly the basis for your appeal. Within 45 days of receiving your appeal request, we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response, along with a written explanation of the reasons in support of the response.
Depending on the state in which you reside, you may have the right to contact your state attorney general if you have concerns about the result of the appeal or would like to submit a complaint. If this right is available to you, we will provide you with instructions on how to do so.
We endeavor to respond to a verifiable request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 45 additional days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
Use of the Site by Minors
Our Site is not directed to minors and we do not knowingly collect personal information from any individuals under age 18.
International Transfers of Information
By using the Site and/or the Services, you are deemed to understand and to unambiguously consent to the collection and processing of your personal information in the United States, with the awareness that the laws of the United States may not provide as much protection for personal information as the laws of certain other countries or territories.

The Site may contain links to websites not operated by USPAL Network. These linked websites are not under our control and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
